Hi, I'm listening from France ! ... The Grateful Dead are still some of unknown bands here ! That's a pitty ! In the early '70s, I was a DJ, and I bought "The Workingman’s Dead" album for myself. I had my girlfriend listen to it yesterday, and when I found Uncle John’s Band, I didn’t find anything more interesting than your version -simplified-, but very accurate, so that I could interpret it easily. I had brought my version of "Ripple" in a jam that I’m playing, and everyone asked me what it could be ... Yes, indeed France still has some progress to make in discovering these nuggets! Thank you very much to you for sharing this, François
I learned Cover Me Up from your lesson 376. I played for 10 years starting when I was 12. Then I became a dad, got busy and stopped playing.. Now I'm 36 and have finally picked up my guitar again after hearing Cover me up on the radio and wanted to learn it. Your lesson 376 not only taught me the song but more importantly, reignited my passion for playing again! Thank you so much for this content! I purchased a year subscription to your website this morning. I'm so excited to play again! You know, waking up and playing, playing thru-out the day and before bed.. I'm addicted again and I love it! 🎶 ✌️ 🎸
This. Is. FANTASTIC!!! Thank you, David. You really are one of the best teachers out there. Superbly done, as always. And, heck YES, your being on a Dead kick is an absolutely welcome and enthusiastically encouraged development. While there are very few Dead songs that I wouldn’t be thrilled to see you teach to us, and handful that come to mind for the moment are: Throwing Stones Althea Cassidy Sugaree Sugar Magnolia Box Of Rain So Many Roads (okay, I’ll stop there or else I’ll stay up all night and list their repertoire!)😊

Loved the lesson! Thanks David.
I just have to say this. You are a passionate guitar teacher; better than a guy named Marty. Thanks Sir!
Bob Weir did some incredible rhythm guitar to support Jerry Garcia’s brilliant lead supported by Phil Lesh’s bass.
Thank you for sharing

Is that a Taylor 310? It’s a beauty!
